Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC.
